You can then request from Actiris the maintenance of your benefits and an exemption from availability.
You can get information from Bruxelles Formation (French-speaking) or from VDAB (Dutch-speaking) to learn about training opportunities in these sectors.
You want to start your own business
Ask for advice from hub.brussels, the Brussels Agency for Entrepreneurship, by calling the phone number 1819.
You are close to retirement age
Call the special Pension number 1765 to check whether you meet the conditions to access retirement.
You are sick
Consult your doctor, who will issue you a medical certificate if necessary. You can then present it to your health insurance fund to request a work incapacity allowance.
You have a disability
Contact your health insurance fund, which can help you submit an application for disability recognition via MyHandicap.
You think you are too old to work
Call the special Pension number 1765 to check whether you meet the conditions to qualify for a pension.
None of these solutions work?
On the date mentioned in the letter:
You will no longer be entitled to unemployment benefits.
At that time, go to our CPAS with your ID card and the income details of the members of your household.
Our CPAS will decide, based on your financial situation and the needs of your household, whether you can receive financial assistance.
